GENERAL CONDITIONS
These general conditions constitute a contract for the reservation of a rental car through the website www.mecar-rentals.com, owned by the company Autos Cala Galdana S.L.U. with registered office at Urb. Serpentona nª 7. 07760 Ciutadella de Menorca (Balearic Islands) and CIF B57088049. The processing of a reservation through this website implies the express acceptance of each and every one of these general conditions, which are completed with the Spanish legislation, general and specific for consumers and users.

customer responsibility
You declare that you are over 23 years of age and have the legal capacity to purchase the services offered through this website. When making the reservation you are exclusively responsible for the accuracy of all the data you provide. If it is proven incorrect, it could cause the cancellation of the reservation.

Reservations and payment method
Payment for the reservation is made at the time of delivery. You can pay in cash or card. We do not request any advance payment at the time of booking.
Non presential deliveries: In the event that your flight arrives later than 9:30 p.m., the delivery is made in non presential mode. We park the car in the arrivals parking lot of the airport and the client picks it up upon arrival. This service is done upon payment. The day before your arrival you receive a reminder e-mail together with a link to pay 100% of your reservation. This payment is made via the online card payment gateway. We ask you to pay the rent 24 hours before your arrival. There is the possibility of making is payment via transfer, the client notifies us to provide the necessary information.
The successful completion of the reservation process does not constitute a vehicle rental contract, which in order to be formalized must be signed by the client and the rental company upon arrival at the vehicle collection point.
The company reserves the right to deny the signing of the rental contract to those people who do not accept the conditions

Deliveries & returns
Menorca Airport: For deliveries at the Menorca airport, we wait for our customers in the arrivals hall of the airport with a folder with the letters ACG. The client addresses us and we deliver the car to the same car park in the terminal. At the time of delivery we explain how to return the car at the airport. Our rental contract explains in detail the few steps to follow to return it to the P1 arrivals car park. In the event that the client parks the car in another car park within the airport complex other than the aforementioned P1 car park, the client will be responsible for the costs of removing the car.
Non presential deliveries: For deliveries after 9:30 p.m., our delivery method is ‘non presential deliveries’. The client receives indications of the location of the car, and together with them the information of where he finds the vehicle key and the parking ticket. This ticket is paid by the customer before leaving the car park. The cost of the ticket will be paid by the lessee up to a maximum of €10.00. In the event that the amount is higher, the company will pay the difference to the client via bank transfer. The client must send a receipt for the parking cost in such a case. .

cancelations
As you have read in the previous point, we do not request prepayment for the confirmation of your reservation. This is fully confirmed from the moment you receive the confirmation e-mail. We ask our clients that in the event of having to cancel their reservation, notify us as far in advance as possible so as not to be waiting for their arrival.
*Non presential deliveries (after 21:30 h): In the event that the client pays 100% of their reservation one day before their arrival, or the same day, and for some reason they do not arrive in Menorca, we will refund 75% of the payment made .
The rental company reserves the right to cancel the reservation of non-presential delivery customers who have not previously sent the required documentation upon arrival, in the confirmation email sent by our reservations team.
If you return the vehicle before the date set in the contract for its return, you will not be refunded any amount (whatever the reason) for the rental.

rental conditions(insurances)
Our vehicles have a mandatory third-party insurance policy that covers personal injury to the occupants of the vehicle and also to third parties. Material damage is also covered, except for damage to your own vehicle.
However, through the rental contract, our company exempts the client from any economic responsibility for damage to the vehicle or theft of the same. All this WITHOUT FRANCHISE, that is, the coverage is total without any economic damage to the client.
What is said in the previous paragraph is conditional on compliance with the terms of the contract and that the damages have not been caused by:
Reckless or negligent driving
Ingestion of substances that disturb or diminish the psychophysical faculties of the Driver (alcohol or drugs)
Driving of a person not authorized by the company
Bumps in the wheels and under the vehicle
wrong refueling
Damage inside the vehicle
Loss or breakage of the vehicle key (€80 and €120 depending on model)
Loss of the pair of triangles (40 €)
The client has the responsibility and is obliged to notify immediately in the event of an accident or mishap with the rented vehicle. It is responsible for completing the friendly part if necessary and for its delivery to Autos Cala Galdana. Otherwise, and after a maximum period of 24 hours from the time of the incident, we will consider negligence on the part of the lessee and this will be responsible for the damage caused to the vehicle.

fuel policy
The reserved car will be delivered with a certain amount of fuel, normally a quarter of a deposit, and on the day of the return it must be returned with the same amount.

Accepting the present conditions confirms knowing what the current regulations on data protection RGPD and LOPD provide, on behalf of the company we process the information you provide us with in order to provide you with the requested service, bill it. The data provided will be kept as long as the commercial relationship is maintained or during the years necessary to comply with legal obligations. The data will not be transferred to third parties except in cases where there is a legal obligation. You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether AUTOS CALA GALDANA SL is processing your personal data, therefore you have the right to access your personal data, rectify inaccurate data or request its deletion when the data is no longer necessary.
